Hi, I’m Ellen.
I’m so glad to meet you! I truly believe that you are shaped by your unique personality, lived experiences, and the deep wisdom you’ve gathered along your journey. My approach to our work together is rooted in warmth and acceptance, focusing on your inherent strengths through a gentle, trauma-informed lens. I use an eclectic, person-centered approach to therapy and provide a safe, accepting environment that fosters individual awareness and growth. I hold the firm belief that you already carry the inner knowledge of what you need to find peace and joy, even during life’s most challenging chapters. I would love to walk beside you as we collaboratively explore and discover the answers you’re looking for.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Family Studies from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
I’ve had the privilege of working with neurodiverse adolescents and their families. I embrace the unique strengths and perspectives that accompany ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, and I am dedicated to helping these amazing individuals navigate their world in ways that honor their unique wiring and foster their growth.
I’ve supported individuals on their own recovery paths and those who are deeply impacted by a loved one’s addiction. I understand the profound complexity that addiction has on lives and relationships.
I hold a deep commitment to walking alongside those navigating the complexities of religious trauma, offering a space where you can gently untangle feelings of shame or fear surrounding your beliefs. I am a firm ally to the LGBTQIA+ community, providing an affirming and supportive environment that celebrates your unique journey of self-discovery, authenticity, and acceptance.
Whether you are finding your own way through recovery, seeking to heal the wounds caused by a loved one’s struggle, question your personal beliefs, or just need support, I am here to walk your path with you. We will work together to explore the underlying layers, while prioritizing your own healing, boundaries, and sense of peace.
Ellen meets with clients in person in our Provo, Utah location and from anywhere in Utah via our secure telehealth platform.
