Therapists at Utah Valley Counseling are specialized in treating individuals and couples affected by pornography and sex addiction. Utah Valley Counseling providers have pioneered treatment of compulsive pornography use and addiction, sex addiction, lust addiction, and love addiction for both male and female addicts, and relational trauma related to a partner or family members addiction. Courtney is a proud Navy veteran and loves being a therapist. She specializes in helping families navigate challenging situations and improve their relationships She enjoys helping clients with communication breakdowns, parenting struggles, marital conflict, trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and LGBTQIA+ issues.
Erin provides a nonjudgmental environment that allows you to feel safe and secure. She works with anxiety, depression, loss, and trauma, in addition to youth, couples, LGBTQ+, and individuals.
Susie works with people facing issues around self-esteem, betrayal, relationships, eating disorders, autism spectrum diagnoses, attachment wounds, and spiritual and faith development. She offers extra emphasis on self-care, mindfulness, and other wellness practices.
James is a compassionate, thoughtful therapist who focuses on anxiety, depression, trauma, and self-esteem issues. He focuses on careful evaluation of what you bring to counseling and helps create a personal, tailored treatment plan that fits your exact needs.
Kenneth has training and experience treating relationship struggles, trauma, depression, and anxiety. He is EMDR trained, so he can provide extensive help dealing with traumas from your past and present.
Daniel clinical experience and enjoy working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship issues, dating problems, pornography issues, current or past traumas, as well as couples and marital counseling.
Simone is a trauma-informed therapist who specializes in EMDR and treats issues like anxiety, depression, PTSD, self-harm, and suicidality. She also works extensively with individuals suffering from grief and loss.
Sam is a person-centered and trauma-informed approach therapist who can adapt to your specific needs in the therapeutic space. Sam works with anxiety, depression, autism, trauma, LGBTQ+ concerns, sexual problems, and relationship issues.
Kelly works with individuals, couples, and families with a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, communication, self-esteem, and trauma. She is trained in accelerated resolution therapy, a trauma informed model (similar to EMDR).
Jody has worked in hospital settings previously, and her clinical expertise includes working with adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, post-partum depression and grief and loss. She also enjoy working with couples who have issues with infertility and adoption.
Sheri enjoys working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression and medical issues. She loves helping people learn how to advocate for themselves through effective communication. She is trained in EMDR and can help ease the burden of trauma.
Brittany enjoys working with clients looking to process trauma, whether that is PTSD, complex or developmental trauma. She also work with anxiety, depression, and OCD, among other mental health and relationship struggles.
Directors and Staff
Associate Clinical Director
Dan oversees supervision of associate therapists and provides training and consultation to new hires. He provides training to therapists in the ARM-5 treatment model for compulsive sexual behaviors, and also provides in-house EMDR training for Sela Health therapists.
Associate Clinical Director
Allyson provides supervision for associate therapists as well as consultation and training for new Sela Health therapists. In addition, she provides support for therapist clinical documentation.
Dr. Adam M. Moore
Dr. Adam Moore has provided professional counseling for over a decade. He specializes in treating sexual addiction (including pornography addiction), and extramarital affairs.
Dr. Moore is an educator and public speaker. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses at Brigham Young University, Argosy University, and Utah Valley University. He has shared presentations and workshops on pornography and sexual addiction recovery with many thousands of people across the state of Utah.
Dr. Moore provides training and supervision for all Utah Valley Counseling therapists.
Lindsay manages Utah Valley Counseling’s operations, including insurance and other third-party billing, graphic design, social media and outreach. She has a background in human resources and office management and has worked in HR and office management positions with Hampton Inn & Suites, Sodexho facilities management, and Utah Valley University facilities.
Lauren manages office operations, receives intake phone calls, assigns new clients to therapists, and provides support to Utah Valley Counseling clinicians and directors. Lauren's previous work history includes event planning, retail, and forensic anthropology.
