Hi, I’m Karoline.
You don’t know this yet, but we’re going to be perfect for each other. Let me tell you about me so you can make sure we’re a good match. I’m a reader. I love learning and living inside of other people’s heads for awhile. I also love creativity, which I enjoy most in my writing and painting. And if you can believe it, I’ve been told by some clients that I can be a bit of a mind reader as well. Whether I’m helping you find just the right words to say or highlighting something you were thinking about, but hadn’t even articulated yet, I’m deeply empathic and I love to listen and truly understand you and your feelings.
I like to have life at least a little planned out. I prefer predictability over spontaneity, and because of that, I’m a bit of a home body. There’s something about the reliability and safety of home that’s just hard to duplicate. Therapy will, of course, have some unexpected turns and twists, but I’ll always make sure we have some kind of roadmap to keep our eyes out for where we’re going.
I love metaphors and I can get a little philosophical at times, always designed to help you understand yourself in a new light. And to be honest, I might try a little too hard sometimes. I care deeply about you (even though we haven’t met yet) and I will always go above and beyond to make sure you’re getting the help you need. And I really hope you’ll be willing to work hard too. If we’re both working hard together, we will accomplish so much as a team.
Here’s what I need from you. Care about yourself enough to schedule an appointment with me and to keep trying to improve between each of our meetings. Just do your best. Not perfection. Just the best you can for today. My favorite clients are the ones who are still trying to figure themselves out and figuring out the right path for them. That’s what gets me most excited as a therapist.
I can’t wait to meet you and get to work with you. We’re going to do great things together. I just know it.
